Charles is Vice Chancellor\u2019s Senior Research Fellow in the Social & Global Studies Centre, at RMIT University in Melbourne. He is also a non-resident fellow at the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research in New York and Senior Research Fellow at the Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (APR2P). His research in the field of international relations, peace and conflict studies is focused on peacekeeping and peacebuilding with a particular interest in the role of public information in UN peace operations and media development programming in conflict-affected societies.<\/p>\n
